This great 3 day tour will take you through the heart of the Masai Mara, undoubtedly one of the best knowen game reseves in the world. Covering an area in excess of 1,800 sq km (almost 700 sq miles) the Mara adjoins the Serengeti of Tanzania forming the northern end of one of the worlds greatest migration routes where from June through October you may see the annual migration as hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra move through the area in search of fresh grass..

This is the land of the Masai people, nomadic herders, who follow a traditional lifestyle of grazing their cattle in the area. The park's habitats include the forests along the banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers, acacia forests and open savannah. These various habitats are home to a great variety of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest (gnu), giraffe, buffalo, jackal, topi, gazelles, impala and elephant. Hippopotamuses and crocodiles are plentiful in the rivers and the bird life is also abundant. One of the best ways to capture this amazing park is by air and you have the option of a morning balloon ride over the plains. Truly a spectaculor start to anyones day.

Departing the Mara we make our way back to Nairobi where the game packed tour ends.

DAY 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara

Departing Nairobi you journey via the spectacular Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara. In the afternoon, go on a game drive to explore Hemingway’s country in search of lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo and other plains game that abound in the reserve.

DAY 2: Masai Mara
Meals: BLD
From your base camp a full day is spent game viewing with a visit to a masai village or an optional morning ballon ride. The rolling plains are full not only with the well-known predators but also with zebra wildebeest, giraffe, hippo and crocodile.

DAY 3: Masai Mara
Meals: BL
Leaving the Masai Mara you drive via the northern part of the Masai land, game viewing before passing through Narok on your way to a late afternoon arrival back in Nairobi.
