We take in both the North and South Islands, starting in Auckland and finishing in the Capital City of Wellington. The Bay of Islands is first on our list of sights, before taking time out on some of the great beaches of New Zealand - Leigh and Hahei. The geothermal region of Rotorua is next where we venture into the Maori history, culture and customs with a visit to Whakarewarewa Village. We drive past Lake Taupo as we cross over to the East Coast where we spend time in Napier. Through the heart of the North Island we travel, where we arrive in Wellington and board the ferry for our trip to the South. Making our way along the East Coast, we stop at the whale watching town of Kaikuroa. The colonial city of Christchurch is next as we make our way across the plains towards the Southern Alps mountain range. Dunedin, Te Anua and Milford Sound follow, before taking time out in the adventure capital of Queenstown. Franz and Fox Glaciers give you the chance to walk on water as the rugged West Coast unfolds in front of you. Abel Tasman NP finishes off your South Island sector as we cross Cook Straight back to Wellington where this tour ends. |
