The capital city of Wellington is the starting point of this tour and where we board our ferry bound for the South Island. Following the coast line we now arrive in Kaikoura, where you have the chance to go Whale watching before continuing onto Christchurch. Crossing the Canterbury Plains we make our way inland, where the beautiful Southern Alps fill the Horizon. Heading back to the coast we stop in Dunedin before heading into the Milford Sound and Queenstown - where there is plenty of activities to keep the heart pumping. The rugged West Coast is next as we make our way to Franz and Fox Glaciers, and then continue to Greymouth. We board the Tranz Alpine Train for our final trip across the Southern Alps, where we finish this tour in Christchurch.
